Spirit Week, Pride Walk, & KOTR Band Road Trip - More June Fun!

Dear Coyote Families,

What a fantastic week we've had at school, filled with learning, laughter, and so many wonderful moments!

I want to extend a huge thank you to all our dedicated staff for their incredible hard work. They truly go above and beyond for our students, and their commitment was especially evident last week as they diligently completed report cards. We're so proud of the effort everyone put in!

We are also welcoming several staff back: Ms. Lepine and Ms. Kinny are returning part-time, and Mr. Burman is back full time. Ms. Nisbet and Ms. Kohls will continue sharing their positions with Ms. Lepine and Ms. Kinny, and Mr. Abdul will remain on until Thursday this week as part of the transition.

Get Ready for Spirit Week!

Get ready for some extra fun this week as we dive into Spirit Week! Your children are invited to participate in our themed dress-up days, adding an extra spark to their school week. Here's what we have planned:

  • Monday: Twin/Triplet Day
  • Tuesday: Blast from the Past (Choose Your Favourite Decade!)
  • Wednesday: Rainbow Colour Day
  • Thursday: Tropical Day
  • Friday: Class Theme Day (Each class will choose their own creative theme!)

We can't wait to see all the imaginative outfits!

Jump Rope for Heart - Tuesday, June 24th!

We're thrilled to announce that KOTR is participating in Jump Rope for Heart! This wonderful fundraiser encourages our students to get active, build healthy habits, and give back to the community.

Why are we participating?

  1. Supporting Vital Research: The money raised by our school directly helps Heart & Stroke drive crucial heart and brain research. This research saves lives, prevents heart disease and stroke, and provides support to families living with these conditions.
  2. Inclusive Fun: Jump Rope for Heart is an inclusive event designed for all abilities, helping kids to get moving and discover new and exciting ways to stay active.

Our main Jump Event will take place on Tuesday, June 24th, during the middle block. More information regarding the event schedule will be shared soon.

To learn more about the impact of Jump Rope for Heart, feel free to watch this video shared by Heart & Stroke: https://vimeo.com/1019900823. Please also refer to the attached poster for more details.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support in making our school such a vibrant and positive place for our students. We truly appreciate you!

Take good care,

Erin and Lara
