Happy Summer & Farewell!
As the school year draws to a close, we want to wish all our students and families a wonderful and relaxing summer break! We hope you have a fantastic time making memories and enjoying the sunshine.
This year has been filled with incredible learning, growth, and fun, and we're so proud of everything our students have accomplished.
Important Leadership Update
We have a last-minute Vice-Principal change to announce. Mr. Thorp has accepted a Principal position with the Upper Canada DSB. While we'll miss him, we're thrilled to welcome Mr. Mark Keeping as our incoming Vice-Principal! We're very excited to have him join our team.
Farewells
As we look forward to the summer, we want to recap our staffing changes and also bid a fond farewell to some cherished members of our school community who will be moving on to new adventures. We want to extend a huge thank you to our amazing School Council and all the wonderful parent volunteers who have dedicated their time and energy to support our school this year. Your commitment, enthusiasm, and hard work make an incredible difference in the lives of our students and help create such a vibrant school community. We truly appreciate everything you do!
We also wanted to share a HUGE thank you to parent Kaitlin Piaskoski for all the work she did to bring our 2024-2025 yearbook together. Students are raving about them and we are so grateful for her hard work.
School Supplies
The most important things for students to bring to school each day are:

Litterless lunch as much as possible - next year we will be encouraging all students to bring garbage and recycling home.

Extra layers of clothing (students in grades 1-8 are outside for two 25-minute recesses. Students also participate regularly in outdoor learning and have one of their three phys ed classes outdoors in all types of weather.)

Summer Office Hours & Important Dates
Please note that the school and office will be closed for the summer. The office will reopen on Monday, August 25th. When the office reopens, we'll be very busy catching up on messages and getting staff settled, so we appreciate your patience as we work to respond to everyone.
Here are some important dates for your calendar:

Tuesday, September 2nd, 8:00 AM: First day of school for all students Kindergarten to Grade 8!

Wednesday, September 17th: Meet the Staff event (3:30 PM - 5:30 PM) and Family Welcome Back BBQ (4:30 PM - 6:30 PM)

Tuesday, September 23rd: First School Council meeting (elections will be held at the outset, followed by the meeting); 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
