Seeking "Tiny Teachers" for Roots of Empathy Program
Do you have a baby who will be 2-4 months old on October 1, 2025? If so, your little one could become a "Tiny Teacher" in the Roots of Empathy program! This evidence-based program helps our students develop empathy and emotional literacy.
The program involves a baby and their caregiver making nine visits to their local school throughout the year. With the guidance of an instructor, students observe the baby's development, which helps them recognize feelings in themselves and others.
This is a fantastic and rewarding experience for our students and the families who volunteer. If you are an OCDSB family, staff member, or a member of the public and are interested in volunteering, please contact Marianne Harvey at mharvey@rootsofempathy.org for more information.
