Kars on the Rideau Students to Connect with Astronaut Aboard the International Space Station
Students at Kars on the Rideau Public School will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to speak directly with a crew member aboard the International Space Station (ISS) on Tuesday, April 22nd at 8:30 a.m.
The students will be engaging in a live question-and-answer session with American astronaut Nicole Ayers. Selected students have been preparing their questions for this unique interaction. This incredible opportunity is made possible through the Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) program. ARISS provides students worldwide with the inspiring experience of direct voice contact with ISS crew members. This initiative aims to encourage students to pursue interests and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, while also engaging them with radio science technology through amateur radio.
